Tiramisu is an Italian no-bake dessert. The word Tiramisu in Italian means “cheer me up.” It has two main layers, ladyfingers soaked in coffee and the mascarpone cream layer. Ladyfingers are known as “savoiardi” in Italian, they are biscuits prepared from sponge cake batter. Mascarpone cream is prepared from a mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, it is flavored with cocoa.
